Scientist

KimBoo York, scientist?

Not really, of course. I do not have any degrees in a scientific field that would qualify me, nor am I an amatuer in any field. Unlike this guy, I do not spend hours collecting data on…pretty much anything.

But I consider myself an armchair scientist, which I suppose is the same thing as saying the armchair quarterback is an athlete, but allow me my delusions. I base my identity as a scientist on the basis of my fascination and admiration of The Sciences. I do have a dream of going back to school one day to study math, but that isn't practical right now.

My favorite magazine on science right now is Seed, which reminds me of the old Omni_magazine only much, much better.

The particular scientic interests of KimBoo currently run this way:
African_elephant
Evolution (I am violently anti-creationism, and I think that "Intelligent Design" should refer to good architecture and industrial design only.)
Geography
Mathematics

My scientific heroes are Watson and Crick, Jarid Diamond, Albert Einstein (natch), Feynman, and Jerry P. King (he wrote The_Art_of_Mathematics).
